@herringbone this is an example just found by chance of a Madsen for Mogensen chair.
I think we should start a thread with all Madsen furniture. Quality is interesting. Am I correct Madsen did not take part to the Guild exhibitions ?
@Andersen Yeah, a Madsen thread would be interesting. I don’t know very much about the company and the man yet but maybe I should do some research and make a post on CM Madsen on Instagram. Could be worth it.

@herringbone. Some time back I discovered an image for Peter's chair with C M Madsen, Haarby, mentioned as manufacturer.

Will be interesting to see what you discover.

@lexi Thanks for looking them up at arkiv. They seem to have quite a lot about Madsen which is not really surprising. For research it’s always good to have a bigger company in a small town. The more important the company is for its town, the more likely it is that you can find documentation. And Haarby didn’t have much industry besides C.M. Madsen’s Møbelfabrik.

Here is another example of a Madsen chair distributed in the USA by John Stuart. the designer I do not know but not dissimilar from Hvidt style.
John Stuart being also a major distributor of France and Son.
