Eero Aarnio was born the 21 July 1932 in Helsinki. He studied at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki, and will directly create his own design office after that. He will first create furniture made of natural materials handcrafted and then he will himself start to experiment with some new materials like fiberglass and plastic. He will create the ‘Ball Chair’ (1963), the ‘Pastil’ (1968) and the ‘Bubble’ (1968) who will make him worldwide famous. Many of his works will be included in the biggest museums in the world.
Nowadays, Eero Aarnio is one of the most famous Finnish design artists in the world.
