I am stripping and refinishing a Rosewood desk/credenza that has the markings of furniture makers danish control on it. The skeleton lock itself is broken and I need to replace it. Does anyone know where I can get a lock for this particular type of furniture?

I don’t know how to reduce the file size of a picture to 2 MB or less using my iPhone or I would upload a picture

@creativemike, Try emailing your pix from your phone to yourself and select "medium" file size. Then attaching those files to your DA posts should work.

@creativemike, In the US, it's called a full-mortise chest or drawer lock. Searching online reveals a wide variety of sizes and styles, but an exact-match replacement might be difficult or impossible to source.

There's really not a lot that can go wrong with these, though. I'd suggest having a locksmith look at it first. Could just be that the key is worn or the mechanism is bound.

If you need an European size, in German it is Möbel Einsteckschloss https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=einsteck+m%C3%B6belschloss&_sacat=0

It's safe to assume that your lock was made to Metric dimensions, Mike.

A locksmith can repeat a skeleton key to accommodate your locks in the event that they have a key that is like the one you have lost, lost, and so forth to form another one from; nonetheless, as a result of safety concerns, locksmiths will suggest that you rather change totally over to an advanced framework or that you, at any rate,
