Hah. Is there a Dump Trump movement, yet ? Don't tell me he has to get elected before that kicks in . . .
Don't mind me, I'm only here to update my email address. It's going pretty well so far; Apple is the worst, ironically.
[later] That was easy. While there I found this button:
Receive content follow-up notification e-mails
So I pushed it, and my ass fell off. No, it didn't. (Did you know a round one is called a radio button ? I don't know what a square one is called -- probably "Steve". . .)
And his tacky former home is being demolished.
Yes!

Oh good lord. (Photo #44 is pretty, though.)
Here's the news story to go with that display of vulgarity:

This video makes me laff and laff! The guy who made it did another Sophisticated Trump plus a bunch of Sassy Trumps and a few others. Hilarious!
Sophisticated Trump is a riot. I wonder how that was done. A filter ? or a voiceover expert . . .
I like photo #28 -- I'm partial to brick. But I really dig the photos with the moon included -- I've never seen so many in one place. Maybe the photographer is obsessed ? But Mark's sky shots take the cake, any day . . .
Loewy's "1946 Lincoln town car" is actually a prewar Continental he customized:

In my opinion it compares favorably to Frank Lloyd Wright's modification of the same model:

Yes. I suppose its suitable to be the fan of an object unique to the twentieth century; we happened to be born into a moment in the middle of the development of the automobile, as it transitioned from its formative years into the streamlined object we know today, and, then, on into the uniquely American "bigger is better; how big can we make the road car ?" period. Wright could make a post-war "rambler" that was over a hundred feet from one end to the other; Detroit maxed out the practical horizontal limits of the car body in the early 'sixties -- not long after Wright died.
I'm not as conversant with man's cultural history as I could be, but it seems likely that other fads have accosted "modern man" from time to time, through the centuries. The motor vehicle vies with electricity and the railroad as the most significant technological advance -- ever ? I assume that it will disappear in its present form, any time now -- but surely there will be personal (and collective) transport of a mechanical nature until the time that we master teleportation, or perhaps the complete abandonment of the physical, including the human body.
but I did buy a car last week (unplanned). I took the old MINI Cooper S in for service, and on the showroom floor was a nearly new Countryman S (certified preowned with under 1000 miles). Every option, including navigation and all wheel drive. Naturally I kept the 2005, as it doesn't have but 18,000 miles of pampering and love. New model is silver/black top/red mirrors and hood stripes. Red/black 2 toned leather. It smells fine. I still have my Benz wagon (6.3 amg), too. Maybe time to trade it for something a little less powerful.
carry on,
Aunt Mark
ps my favorite is the old MINI.
Mm. You're a wagon man, in part ? I got that gene from my dad. My '75 FIAT 131 wagon was Euro on a budget, I guess; I liked that car until someone rear-ended me. Comfy and supportive pleather seats, good dash, that great five-speed box, and nice squarish lines. Italians understand drivers, somehow . . .
Hi SDR.
I'm a wagon man only in part. Both MINI's are technically wagons,,I guess...and the bad-ass Benz is a wagon, but then I have the old rusty Ford pick up truck (with a snow plow attached..and bumper stickers) and I have an old sl. Stupid to have so many cars. I just do. I prefer pants. I do.
Best,
Your Aunt Mark
