While doing research on  @mark737's  recent thread

https://designaddict.com/community/identification/trollopes-copenhagen-chair/

I came across this old post

https://designaddict.com/community/main-forum/Help-identifying-cane-back-arm-chair1234/

The poster suggests that the linked pic (image 1) was the "Jutland " chair by Trollope and Sons , but no photo of chair from the reference source House and Garden 1957.

Further digging and have found a few other hits; instagram and selling platforms...(images 2/3)

Same chair, different caning ,weave style, no labels. Quelle surprise !! Ib Kofod-Larsen/ Selig attributions.

I have drawn a blank 🤨

Perhaps some of the USA based members (@cdsilva) may have access to catalogues?   Seeing as  the "Tivoli " and "Copenhagen " chairs are by American designers, is it possible this is the case for the "Jutland" ?

I think I have my answer !!!

Found this print advert , USA publication, from 1958.

Mind you, just because it is photographed with other Kofod Larsen designs does not necessarily mean it is designed by him.

Thoughts anyone?

I saw that ad as well in this post by Trystcraft, in which they describe selling one to Ralph Lauren.

I see the ad includes the "Tivoli" or 598 chair that was designed by Lawrence Peabody.  Based on the info from the Craft Associates website on Peabody, and the Dan Johnson items on Esotericsurvey, it's hard to fully trust any of the Selig ads, or even Selig catalogs.  The design does look more Danish than the Peabody and Johnson chairs.

Came across a new ad from the Detroit Free Press in 1958 for the Harrison-Pringle furniture store advertising the Selig line.  This is the first US ad I've seen that includes the high back "Copenhagen" lounge by Dan Johnson.   It has the "Jutland" and "Tivoli" chairs as well but makes no mention of the designers.

And just for fun, the $74 price for the Johnson chair adjusted for inflation would be $660.

@mark737. That is great. As always, sharing any new information is welcomed andappreciated; especially print adverts, catalogues etc.
