Hello,

recently I found some Jacbsen 3107 chairs, but a few have a hairline crack at the usual place. Now the crack are not at all dramatic, and the back are not soft at all - they still are comfortable to sit in. I was wondering if anyone of you have tried to fix them at this stage, and if so, what material have you used.

Thanks for any suggestions,

kind regards,

Andras

I would say it really isn't...
I would say it really isn't possible to fix this once it starts delaminating.
You might try with some carpenters wood glue (titebond) watered down and injected with a very narrow syringe. You'd want to bend the crack open and then clamp it back a bit over bent the other way. The problem with this approach is that you can't get the glue to the edges of the delamination, so in the short term it feels stronger when you sit in it, but you are actually redistributing all the force into the weaker areas at the edges of the former delamination which rapidly propagates new cracking.

for your helpful advice - the hairline cracks are really really small so I might give this a try.

If you could post some...
If you could post some pictures of the cracks, it would be easier to give you proper advice for repairing them...
