Here are a couple of sites that have Omni inspired shelving; I think some of the parts may be compatible:

Omni info on brackets and misc set up info
I have been looking for information on set up and replacement brackets for my Omni's since I got mine in January.
Here is some info that I have found:
REFERENCE: GEORGE NELSON OMNI WALL SYSTEMS
2. A company in New York bought the rights to the Omni System however the closed in Jan. of 2010. There is a guy by the name of Guy Campbell who I talked to and is quite knowledgable about the Omni's. He has a pole system that sounds MUCH easier to use for the set up than what our Omni's came with. He has no original replacement parts for Omni's and does not know where to get them other than search the internet. His website is www.shelfshopguy.com and Phone # 718-465-3563 e-mail: guy@shelfshopguy.com
Guy is VERY helpful.
We had a very difficult time setting our up and spent lots of time doing it. We used books to stand the Omni's on until they were in the right place to hook in. We used Vaseline to grease the hooks which made it MUCH easier.
I am still looking into fabricated the hooks and other part that the hooks go into as we still have a few cupboards that need to go up. The first person I talked with seems to think that metal would work better than the original resin.
Brackets
If you need help you can contact me for parts or maybe brackets, of which I have a few extra. I just sold one, and have a spare unit which I use. Spare parts as well.

This thread should be called C.S.S. is Omni. Without the one you would never have had the C.S.S. design.
Omni Bracket pat no 3,188,037
I met with a machinist to see if he could fabricate an Omini bracket (specifically one stamped pat no 3,188,037, hooked brackets used to support a cabinet) and he said that he could create a functional piece. There would be a minimum order of 30 with the approx price of $90 for each bracket. If anyone is interested in going in to have these brackets made please let me know on this forum, so it can be determined if there is enough interest to pursue. Thanks
Omni brackets
I have the same issue with the broken ceramic/composite Omni wall brackets. I work with a lot of industrial designers who may be able to find a fabricator to make some of them for me. I'll look into it and post on this forum. I have a hunch that since I work for a large technology company in Redmond, WA, the fabricators will give us a better deal than they would to a private party. We'll see. If I can, I'll get a lot of them made and sell them as cheaply as I can. Breakage seems like a common issue. --john
i just found this thread...
i just found this thread looking for info on replacement end pieces for the poles (the tubes & springs that fit to the end of the poles themselves) and noticed some people are looking for some cabinet brackets. I bought a huge lot of omni parts that included 14 poles, 25 shelves and tons of parts for units not included. Regardless, I've got a bunch of spares of those brackets (and shelf supports if anyone's interested).
If anyone wants to trade - or just buy them - feel free to email me at twocanwin@gmail.com. I've got some other random bits and pieces (gold hardware which I'd never seen before) too so feel free to hit me up, particularly if you've got those tube bits, glides, spacers, springs, etc, to trade. Would be happy to help out fellow OMNI fans in need.

What's it worth??!! I have a teak OMNI system
I purchased what I thought was a typical danish shelving system. Got it home and after searching a bit, realize I have a George Nelson Omni unit. Original, great condition. (yeah!!)
6 teak poles, 1 double filing cabinet, 1 bar unit with fold down door, 1 cabinet with 3 drawers, 1 "desk" single drawer, a slanted magazine holder, and 20 (yes, I said 20) teak matching shelves, and ALL (antique brass) hardware.
Because this is tension based system and we have vaulted ceilings, I may not be able to keep it. Before I contact the dealer I purchased it from.... what is it worth so I know whether to "trade" him for something else, or sell it outright.
Please help -- I'm not a pro.
Brackets
John in Redmond: any luck in finding someone who can fabricate the brackets? Obviously from this forum we know it is a weak link. The now retired man in NYC who owned the Shelf Shop was helpful when I called him, and said that even the subsequent metal brackets did not hold up well. I live in Seattle and was going to take a bracket to a metal shop in Ballard to see what they could do, if anything.
I have set-up instructions...
please email me the set up instructions. mally_241 at yahoo.com
also, brackets are currently listed on ebay and from time to time. if you are still looking, and the ones currently listed are not suitable, set up a search on ebay. brackets come up fairly freqently, as well as other components.
