I purchased the Marcel Wanders Haikus 75 cm ceramic plate with black metal display stand* for B&B Italia on the last day of December. This was my gift to me. I saw this piece on display at the B&B Italia dealer in 2014. One year later we agreed upon a price.
I will display this upon a Piero Lissoni 261-08 Note black low rectangular table with casters for Cassina. Perfect in the dining room.
*this stock photo does not include the stand

Not sure about the origin, but I'm quite fond of my latest lamp. Solid.

first time long time!
Komfort-Henning-Norgaard-Table in Rosewood
Almost didn't see this. was in 2 pieces and the wood was pretty faded. Cleaned up nicely, though. Top is original but has 2 dings.
Have always loved this design. Really jazzed to be able to check one out in person.
While I am here - Also got a Remington Rand Sitwel chair. Needs a new seat but still has the horsehair stuffing. Things are pricey.
And for me and the Mrs. a Falster headboard. Matches our American side tables to a T.

Got a marble tulip dining table from craigslist 2 weeks ago. The table was abandoned by the owner who sold her mid century house, because she is moving out and she said it was a hassle to bring it with her. She almost going to give it to her real estate agent if no one wanted it. Thank God, her agent is not a fan of mid century furnitures. I thought it was fake at first.. But, lo and behold, after further inspection.. I found eero saarinen medallion and knoll logo affixed to the table. It was a long trek but definitely worth it. The plycraft cherner chairs were from another craigslister who sold them dirt cheap as "eames replica" chair. Works for me 😉

Picked up this Prouve light as well as the kids table and chairs by Risom for Knoll. It has been some time from my last post and we are still going through our storage editing the collection while furnishing our place. Will update shortly...
Blessings

Yesterdays fleamarket finds!
1. Anna Castelli rolling bar cabinet for Kartell
2. 60´s Jacobsen T-chair which is teak underneath the white paint. Will be restored.
3. Spare Cadovious teak "arms" for the Royal system.
Never seen these Cado boxes before, pretty cool!
Would love to trade these for some in rosewood if anyone have those and need teak ones.

Picked up a Mogens Kold teak dining set today: a circular extension table with butterfly leaves, but with only three chairs. Apparently there might be a fourth buried in the warehouse somewhere, but it's out of sight for now. The table was previously refinished with a lacquer top coat. While I prefer oil finishes, I'll probably leave this as is, since I will not keep it.
First time I've seen a butterfly extension firsthand. The leaves hide nicely within the rails, then rotate around a metal pipe before spreading its wings. I prefer the draw leaf design for extension tables, due to avoiding the split in the middle of the top. But the mechanical nature of this design is nice as well.
The chairs are documented in old ads as model MK-175, designed by Arne Hovmand Olsen. The table has a Mogens Kold label, but I have yet to find a model number or definitive proof of the designer. I might give it up to a year to find a solo chair to make a set of four, but the odds are always tough going that route.

Can I play too?
George Nelson Thin Edge chest. Happy dance! While I generally prefer the softer, gentler lines of Danish furniture, this thing sure is handsome. Really nice proportions, even without the missing legs.

Hi.
So many wonderful acquisitions pictured above! In my next life, I want to be a "picker". Now Stacey, if that thin edge (sans the legs and kneecaps) were mine, I'd mount it to the wall at the correct height intended by thin George Nelson.
just a thought,
Aunt Mark

Set of four Wegner CH-30 dining chairs. While they are the desirable wood seat versions and the frame members are still in good structural shape, there is unfortunately significant veneer loss on three of them. The initial plan is to add foam and upholstery over top of the damaged veneer. I may hold onto this set for a while in the hopes of finding a solo CH-30, so I can swap that one in the set and keep the good wood seat one for the personal collection.
