| Unmarked dining table - help identifying maker/designer Thanks for the reply. After some digging I found these tables which appear to be a match: http://www.danishmafia.com/mid-century-danish-modern-teak-table-grete-ja...http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/4622542 Every component of the table looks the same as far as I can tell. http://www.danishmafia.com/mid-century-danish-modern-teak-table-grete-ja... | |||||

| I did a little digging and a Whitney Meyer is indeed listed in the Escondido White Pages. Unfortunately, it appears as though Leon Meyer passed away in 2003. I'd love to know more about both of them and how that rocker made it to Chicago (the seller claimed to have bought it in Denmark). Perhaps a letter is in order - what a fun puzzle! | |||||

| Digging into details, could... Digging into details, could it be that Dr. Drip, as a whole, is more of a waste than making 2 cups via percolator using bulk purchased grounds? Like people who use disposable paper plates for every meal instead of long term use ceramics. Or even low impact recycleable plastics...which also get some level of disdain from me. | |||||

| I was digging around on the W... I was digging around on the Wright Auction site and found at least one chair with similar rockers. You're right though, the vast majority have very rounded edges... http://www.wright20.com/auctions/view_search/HYN4/HYN5/259/LA/eames_rar/... | |||||

| I'm digging for my copy of... I'm digging for my copy of Metropolis, which has an interesting feature about pre-fab. (June, o8, p70-73) Ha! Found it! Brett Zamore is designing modular homes based on shot-gun cottages starting at $100/sf. According to the feature PreFab suffers from shipping costs, as the modules are produced in one location and shipped to the site. "By contrast, Zamore homes, which aren't prefabs, use components that are ordered locally and assembled on site." Zamore also saves money by building the homes based around standard sized lumb ... | |||||

| Hello I've been digging around online to try and find the maker/manufacturer of these chairs but with no luck. They are very similar to some ULDUM MOBELFABRIK chairs and have a Made in Denmark stamp but I've hit a wall so I'm hoping someone on here may know? | strange diggs I know of two that ended up in restrooms... no doubt the only environment in which they might be considered the most comfortable seating in the room. They make wonderful sculpture, but an awful place to sit for more than 5 minutes. | |||||

| The 5 digit zip code dates it to post 1963, and the Knoll Associates name dates it to 1968 prior. So there is a 5 window. Narrow enough? Looks like walnut. | |||||

| There have been discussions about dating Wishbones here in the past, I think. Each chair has an incised number that identifies the person who built the chair. The person who wove the seat signed one of the seat rails with his or her initials. I know that on some Wegner chairs the year of manufacture is also incised in two-digit form but not sure if this is the case with Wishbones. I'm pretty sure it's all here somewhere if you want to dig around for it. | |||||
| Identity of these dining chairs? | 2 Relevance | 19 years ago | NULL NULL | General discussion | |
| I wondered if anybody knew who these could have been designed/manufactured by? They look to be Danish, have some form of 4 digit serial number stamped inside the frame along with 2 numbers inside a circle which I can't seem to read. They are good quality and certainly compare with my Hans Wegner dining chairs. Any ideas? | |||||
