| I picked up this shallow dish | 2 Relevance | 12 years ago | Spanky | General discussion | |
| I picked up this shallow dish at the Fredriksberg flea market just outside of Copenhagen about 9 years ago. I was so pleased to get it, especially since it was only about $10! It has no markings but I always thought it was something special. Then just the other day I was looking at Danish pottery online just for fun and happened upon nearly the same dish but with markings---Dybdahl Danmark! Woohoo! I should say it was exactly the same except for the design on the inside. Same shape, clay color, handles, etc. Turns out they made tons of beautiful thing ... | |||||

| Well there you go. I didn't even notice the difference between the OP's Selig chair and the Elizabeth. (Didn't know it was Christensen & Larsen). But your point about the close relationship between Selig and Ib Kofod Larsen seems very valid. If I owned the chair I would still want documentation, of course, not because I doubted the designer but because it would take a lot less telling. | |||||

| the end of this story? I didn't buy it. It was a lot of money for me, but the person who did buy it, took it to a reupholsterer and, it was stamped Hans Wegner. Live, learn. | |||||

| leif, it didn't occur to me in the other wishbone chair thread, but your uncommon mark could be a chair made specifically for the much smaller domestic Danish market. While all the other labels are in English, yours is in Danish, including the "Danmark" spelling. The earliest Dansk Quistgaard pieces were also marked "Danmark", although I think those were always intended for export to the US. | |||||
| Mine didn't come with any | 2 Relevance | 12 years ago | leif ericson - Zephyr Renner | General discussion | |
| Mine didn't come with any screws to attach to the wall. It had been moved once in its history, and then removed from the wall before I purchased it. The countersunk holes very strongly indicate that a standard wood screws head is the intended item, so I purchased new brass wood screws. I may have more uprights and shelves when I am done. The set I got was absolutely enormous (40 shelves and a few case pieces). I would not be surprised to discover, when I am done installing that I still have 20 shelves left over, if you are interested in adding bays..... ... | |||||

| Oh, gad. I didn't notice. That makes three design fora where I am top poster, numerically; there must be something wrong with me. Too much time on my hands, as a retiree ? A Big Mouth ? Hmm . . . Others here, including you, dear Gustavo, have certainly contributed more useful and thought-provoking (not to say poetic) information that have I. Quality vs. quantity ? Our missing friend Koen used to apologize for the length of his posts. Too bad -- they were some of the most informative words anyone has posted here. I hope he will return to the fray, at ... | |||||

| Didn't work. You have to upload the photo to a host site like Photobucket. Then open it there and copy the URL (the long string of words that starts out with http:// or https:// ) and paste it into the "associated web images" field below. | |||||

| DIYupholstery I looked at the site for the 1/4" and didn't see anything stating compatibility for the PorterCable us58. I called them and asked and was told "we don't guarantee this will fit your Porter Cable"......? Am I correct believing anything that works with Senco C should be o.k. with the Porter Cable?? I want to avoid Amazon prices. I do appreciate your help... | |||||

| I didn't think the arms were... I didn't think the arms were as steep... and MB I saw were separate joints at the back. and I'd have to double check, but it's only fitted for strapping to go front to back on chair and side to side on ottoman... My understanding was that MB wouldn't be marked, necessarily, and cover would be to order, so the vinyl wouldn't be too out of line, quality-wise... still looking - thanks! | |||||
