| Help with Danish teak dining table refinsh | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | t75kjh1 | Repair | |
| I am rather new to refinishing but have recently inherited 1964danish teak dining table. I have stripped and lightly sanded trying to take care with the veneer. My plan is to finish with Watco Danish Oil as I have done with the walnut dining chairs that came with it. After stripping, the top has variations in color and some lighter areas near the edges. Also the leaves are slightly darker as I assume we’re not used as often.Question, will these lighter areas on the edges blend in when finished and will leaves show up noticeably different. Please see attach ... | |||||

| I'd suggest reading through some of the old threads on here that discuss teak refinishing and Watco products. I just refinished a teak table and a cart. For the table, which had finish damage in a number of areas, I sanded off the previous finish and oiled with Star Brite Teak Oil. For the cart, which only had some discoloration, I used the "Spanky Method" of teak oil and steel wool. I was happy with the results on both. Here are a few old threads I found helpful: https://designaddict.com/community/main-forum/Refinishing-Niels-Moller-Model-57432/#pos ... | |||||

| Dux Dining Chairs - Designer Identification | 2 Relevance | 6 years ago | retrofutura | Identification | |
| Hi all, I have a set of 8 teak dining chairs, all with arms. The chairs are marked with the DUX branded stamp on the bottom side of the seat cushion. I have spent hours trying to find the possible designer online. They are similar to those produced by Sylve Stenquist for Dux but the back of my chairs are more slats than spindles. Any help or ideas would be immensely appreciated! Thanks in advance. Attachment: 3E924F1D-1EAB-4561-8A9F-A61D81F9F8E4.jpeg | |||||

| Interesting prior discussion and I am glad I am not the only to be fooled by the internet although to be honest (I could only see one picture from that thread) that looked like a different table and the one that most people identified as Uldum, they are very similar. I also see where people think Kofoed as well as he did an oval table with similar legs. I always enjoy learning more. | |||||
| RE: Help needed to identify who designed and produced Danish dining table | 2 Relevance | 5 years ago | danish nut | Identification | |
| Have now thoroughly examined the table for maker labels, discs, markings etc, including the tops of the extension rails which failed to cover any further marks or other clues. Would really value any further insights and contributions others may care to offer. Many thanks | |||||
