| Perspective dining set Hello, I've been searching for info about this, as well. I grew up with this table, and now have it in my dining room. It has 2 leafs, 1 end chair, and 5 regular. I also have the buffet. I think my mom got this in the mid 1950's. I would like to know the value (not that I would ever sell it), and info about refinishing this mindoro wood. After all these years, it has accumulated some scratches. I just emailed Drexel (10/20/12), hoping I could find out some more. I would love to hear what you have learned. This table means a lot ... | |||||

| What an incredible dining set jdip, I love the Finn Juhl chairs. The table does indeed look like a design by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen. Does it have butterfly bolts at each end for quick disassembly? http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcminteriors/5919413328/ | |||||

| Dining Set Just pics this set up. Apologize for the Picture. Its the actual pic that was in the craigslist add....just haven't gotten around to taking any of my own pics as of yet. So I know the chairs are Fin Juhl but not sure on the origin of the table? Any ideas? As you can see in the pic, there is a metal support that stretches from the under surface of the table to the legs. There are holes in the inner surfaces of the legs by which the support inserts. The legs are a bit splayed. | |||||

| I have a Hvidt dining table with a very similar beveled edge design to this piece which is solid teak. Many of Hvidt's designs be they coffee tables or dining tables were produced from solid timber. To me your table looks typical of the solid timber tables I have seen. | |||||

| 1950s Van Keppel Style. dining furniture Based on one of my helpful replies suggesting that I look at furniture designed by Luther Conover, I did some tracking and was able to find and speak with Luther Conover's son, Luke. I had an extremely nice conversation with him and he was able to confirm that my piece was not made by his father. Although disappointing, it has at least narrowed my search a little. I can understand why it could appear that my table was designed by Mr. Conover if one googles, "Luther Conover mid century modern" and then search for im ... | |||||

| Dining table This weekend I got an Arne Vodder dining table for Sibast. Can be set up to seat only 2, or 4, 6, or 8-10. Very versatile. The table breaks down into such small components that I was able to bring it home in the back seat of a compact sedan. I think I finally found the table I want to keep. | |||||
