These Mid-Century Modern rattan chairs were designed by the Swiss designer Gian Franco Legler in 1951 for the Italian Restaurant “The Basket”.
The rattan chairs have a black lacquered metal frame, the legs are covered with a black rubber coating. The seats are made of rattan. The chairs are an elegant design and comfortable. They are stackable. The chair received a good design award from the MoMA in New York, its beauty and simplicity have made it a classic the world over. The 4 chairs are in very good condition. One chair is slightly different. The price is for the set.
