Hi, I recently picked up an Eames shell armchair and a Paul McCobb origami armchair but both have seen its gloss finish worn away, esp in the seat and arm rests. Would is be irresponsible to do a cleaning and a layer (or two) of Penetrol? I've read a couple of blogs regarding the application and it appears pretty straightforward, but some advice is always appreciated!
