Side table made of driftwood from small boats. The workshop of the artisan agustín soage is located in the small coastal town of cangas, in the ría de vigo. The materials of these old boats were destined to be discarded. The author takes them and builds with them pieces full of history such as this small table, in which he respects the signs of the passage of time that left the sea in these woods. They are finished with varnish respecting the patina and the colors so characteristic of old ships. The design processes of the galician craftsman agustín soage are often conditioned by the use of remains of noble woods that in the vast majority of carpentry would be used for firewood or simply discarded. Thus, each piece is unique and values the beauty, nobility and quality of the materials that reach the author’s workshop.
