So, this weekend, my wife and I found a recliner chair, milo baughman by james? I think is what the seller said. It's been reupholstered and the walnut wood is in great shape...chair is gorgeous, comfy and glad to have it. It does creak quite a bit so I was wondering if there were any remedy to that. It's the first antique i've owned so, not so sure. I gotta imagine the creak is wood on wood, could be the recliner assembly, but, anything I should stay away from lube wise?
I have some Bowlers wax i've used on our cabinets and drawers (100 yr old craftsman house)...I was thinking maybe a Q tip and some bowlers wax and try and listen for some creak areas? I will flip it over and check tightness on things as well, but I don't wanna mess anything up.
Thanks
