Am listening again to yesterday's "Le Show," the irrepressible Harry Shearer's weekly radio broadcast. He interviews David Cay Johnston, a Pulitzer-prize winning NYT reporter who has followed Trump's doings for years.

"A world-class narcissist" is how Trump is characterized. "Desperately in need of the approval of other people . . ." His financial and other dealings are detailed; stuff worth knowing, this year ? Enlightening and hilarious.
I like the part about Trump!
Trump Trump Trump. Is this the Trump Thread now?
Just kidding.
This sounds great SDR. I can't wait until I have a little more time to hear the whole thing.
Re: the "Narcissist desperately in need of the approval of other people":
I was serious when I worried out loud that Donald's run might end in some kind of sad drama / event. If approval is his main need, then all the dis-approval he has received (in spite of his wins) has to be eating him up. How could it not? He acts like he's made of teflon, but I don't buy it.
Everybody wants approval, everybody has feelings. Everybody has tacky wallpaper from Caesar's Palace, and everybody has a gold toilet. We are all the same, right?
Can I be a cheesy Trump-head before it's too late ? Sounds like fun -- for a week-end or two !
I spent the afternoon at a 1950 Wright brick-and-wood "rambler" down on the Peninsula, with the 90-year-old fourth owner and her son. Delightful and fun, and intriguing and deep. Man, that guy saw something that the rest of them missed -- it's true. The 30-60 plan module, when topped with a roof of 3-in-12 and 6-in-12 hipped roofs, makes a marvelous and complex redwood-boarded "cathedral ceiling" . . .
Totally, dude . . .
I'm not sure the owners understood me when I enthused that Wright's interiors sometime bring on (to me) an ancient vibe -- something perhaps medieval. The darkish boards and brickwork, the angles and sloped ceilings and big fireplace: it all seems so . . . old. In a good way. It's definitely in contrast to the brightly-lit, white-walled spaces, the painted metal and bright colors of so many mid-century interiors we love.
I was wondering what happened to my pants, Mark. I figured they went wherever it is that single socks and random Tupperware lids go. Just keep them. They look better on you than they do on me.
Here is tonight's cloudy skyline and a dish of paella that I ate in Tenerife over Easter holidays.
Cruz and Fiorina? Now there is a collectable bumper sticker.
Only someone as ghastly as The Donald could cause such a ludicrous pairing.
Hail Mary indeed. (Or should I just stick with the basic "Oh Jesus"?)
It's gonna be Trump proudly carrying the banner of the white right this year.
C'mon Evangelicals, what about peace and love and understanding? Something is wrong when Ted Nugent likes you.
And what about Trump's running mate? I can't wait! He should just double down and go with the other one-dimensional gimmick named Sarah.
Call it a wrap.
Trump love tanning goggles.
