I think those type of hinges are known as "concealed" hinges. From what I have read it depends on how the door is hung; for example
1) overlay door, as in fully covers the cabinet frame in which case a concealed (cup) hinge is used, which is completely hidden when door is closed.
So it would help if you show pics of door closed....is hinge visible or not?
From what I found on Google images, a flap hinge might also work? but I am not an expert.
