Found this is the trash in my neighborhood today. Upon first glance, I thought it might be Risom, Selig or (I was really hoping) France & Son. Upon getting it home and looking more closely, the only marking I could find was the stamp "ITALY"

Have come across plenty of chairs from America, Scandinavia and Yugoslavia with similar lines....but never Italy.

So is this a keeper or back to the trash?

It's
Italian Grand Rapids!!
Seriously, it's a nice chair.
Get a couple of custom made pillows...probably with a piped-edge without any buttons. I'd go for a nice purplish or greenish wool with has two toned look.

It has great potential
to be a gorgeous chair. I'd oil the wood and have cushions made. I'd personally go for a nubby fabric in a deep color. It's a true diamond in the rough.

I still find the ITALY stamp...
I still find the ITALY stamp odd. Anyone else ever come across a Danish looking chair like this made in Italy?

italy
I've seen several danish-style chairs with an Italy stamp. it seems that both Yugoslavia and Italy mass produced a lot of variations of knockdown chairs
