We are having our home built and I was debating on which backsplash to choose in my kitchen. My cabinets are a dark brown. They are called Timberlake from Cartier Kitchens. I picked a beige countertop. I am debating between a plain mirror or a copper tone (bronze) backslash. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think
I can help. If the look is 'teens, 'thirties, 'fifties, 'seventies or 'nineties, the mirror should be clear. If the design is more 'twenties, 'forties, 'sixties or 'eighties, it can be tinted. Hard to believe it could be this simple, but there you have it.
Others ?

I understand the posters ...
I understand the posters idea but plain mirror is more "neutral" the other, blends yes, but you may tire of it and you lose the bright openess of clear mirror.I understand SDRs dating the types very interesting and I agree...

Solid glass
Can (and should) be tempered. Can be in a huge variety of texture, colors and composites. Any glass that can be cut for a window can be cut for a backsplash. Personally I like a clear glass with matte surface and painted on the back to complement the rest of the room decor.
