It's a very unusual table (I think) because the top of the legs sticks out. I'm asking myself: does that make it more functional in relation to specific purpose?
I think it isn't from a famous architect, but the only reason why I think that is that if it was, being so unusual, everyone would know about it.
It gives me the idea that it is a well made work of craft realised with traditional methods, but in a different style.

.
May I ask how stable it is?
I don't think its a great or recognised piece, could be wrong but edgebanding like that usually appears on lesser quality furniture.
There is something about the design I like, the legs are delicate but it would have benefited from a lapped X support and a solid radisued edge top.

It's stable and many thanks for your comments
Right, maybe it's not a great design but a little rare.

The leg style might be derived from this Finn Juhl piece from 1950.

The Juhl dining table is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, so one would have to assume that the top is original. It is a blond maple top on teak legs, by Niels Vodder, manufacturer.
