I have a table that I believe to be by Harvey Probber based on a few similar ones I've found online attributed to him. It also resembles a few other tables I've seen attributed to him. The table was purchased in Boston and I know his furniture was manufactured nearby in Fall River, Mass. But it has no markings. Can anyone tell me if his accent tables are usually marked or unmarked. Very hard to find info on his catalog online. photo attached
There's a coffee table on Chairish that appears to be the same design and in the description it says: "Commonly mis-attributed to Harvey Probber, the true designer remains unknown". I noticed there were a couple of others on 1stDibs that said "in the style of Harvey Probber" . It's an interesting design, with the walnut bases appearing to coming up through the stone tables, but it's probably safe to say they are not by Probber.
