Well done sir, that is an excellent first effort! Looks better than many of my much later efforts. You clearly stared out with patience, I am still trying to hone mine.

@Herringbone, Nicely done indeed!

Hand-cut, half-blind dovetails involve a steep learning curve and is an operation not typically assigned to first-year apprentices, as I'm sure you've learned. And it's obvious you've learned a lot. Congratulations!

If you haven't already, watch a couple of YT clips of Franz Klausz knocking out dovetails. It's like watching Jacques Pepin make an omelette and will either inspire you or make you want to quit trying it ever again...
