I think his tongue chair would be really comfy to slouch on while watching tv.

While I don't normally like the 60s Pop variation of furniture design, I do like Paulin. I especially like his Oyster, Slice, Mushroom, and Tulip chairs. I don't prefer his most flamboyant designs. His more down-to-earth designs I like.
Last year Dwell did a story of this collector who collected mainly Pualin stuff. There were a few designs that I hadn't seen before that I think must have been early designs. These works were more utilitarian ... perhaps more Knoll-esque more than anything else I could compare. I liked it.

Yes, he's one of my favorites.
It seems very difficult to find Artifort dealers in the USA, though (other than the online ones, obviously).

Quite an underrated designer...
Quite an underrated designer IMO, in the UK at least. Funnily enough, he's mostly known for his pop/organic pieces but I actually prefer his earlier designs. Especially the CM141 desk for Thonet.

I got a slice chair a few weeks ago, since the price was very good. As it has sat in the house waiting for the upholstery to be re-done, it has really grown on me, and I am excited to see it finished.

Pierre Paulin not only...
Pierre Paulin not only designed highly original
and organic forms, he also designed very comfortable
furniture. We have a pair of vintage ABCD chairs in
green wool upholstery and they are so nice to sit in
and relax. In my opinion Paulin is one of the great
designers of the mid-century era.

I reupholstered a Pierre Paulin ABCD chair that was found in the garbage. It was a really hard job but so rewarding.
