I would like to determine the relative value of two small wood chairs that are marked (stamped) as Thonet. I have looked at a number of websites but have not seen this particular chair.
They are ldder back, only two rungs and measure about 183/4" inches from floor to seat, 15 1/2" from seat to top rung and about 34" total, floor to top. The seat is about 15" across.
After some looking I think the wood may be coromandel, just looking at a web picture of the wood grain and color.
The Thonet stam is rather distinctive and in two places under the seat. They are not in mint condition but are serviceable. Albeit for small people.
I may want to sell them but not give them away if they are of any value. Likewise I do not want to ask for more than they are worth.
Thanks to anyone that can help.
Sorry no picture as yet.
