I'm interested in replacing my boring Pottery Barn inspired sofa with something vintage and cool. Any recommendations? I'd like to keep the price down, but rather than limit this let's hear your suggestions no matter what the price.

Edward Wormley
I found a gold, Kroehler "Sleep-or-Lounge" love seat/sofa bed from 1965 in the style of Edward Wormley on Craigslist for $25, very similar to the Bantam that DWR is retailing for $3500.

Ive never seen a more...
Ive never seen a more beautiful sofa than this one. The frame was gorgeous and everything was angled and beautifully crafted. It was about 8ft wide with a lovely curve, really comfortable and just the most beautiful piece of design IMO.

Knoll Pfister
My favorite is the Knoll Pfister. I use these and the matching club chairs.

So many options.....more than anything, it depends on intended use and room. A couple that pop to mind
Milo Baughman
Jacobsen 3300
Kjaerholm pk31
These are just the first three that came immediately to mind.

These are all great, but how about that for a CL find. Was it in that condition or did you have to reupholster it?

Hi
What is your price range?

price
I think a broad range would be something like $2000-4000, assuming some of it would need to be reupholstered. I have pets and friends with little kids, so I couldn't get anything too delicate.

Craigslist Find
The sofa is still in it's original gold/wheat tweed fabric. There is a little wear on the corner of the arm rests (hence the toss cushions) and the welting was a bit frayed on the front of the track arms (probably from their pet)... I just cut the welting off and trimmed the lose threads and made it unnoticeable. Other than that its in pretty good condition. It came from an older couple who were selling their early-70's era house and downsizing; they just wanted to 'get rid of the damn thing"!

Nelson modular sofa
Right now it's my favorite. I'd love to find one.
