Leather armchairs designed by the duo Mazairac & boonzaaijer and produced in the 1980s by Castelijn, the Netherlands. Modern 1980s armchairs with black leather cushions, beech armrests, slender metal legs with wooden feet and black leather panels. The design of the iconic armchairs, “FB chair”, is based on a saddle leather carrying case with wooden handles, sleek on the outside, soft on the inside. Together with Bakker’s strip chair and Spierenburg’s DC chair, the design is an important design that shaped the eighties. Good vintage condition. The leather seats have a lived appearance (some crackle on the front). The back panel of one of the armchairs has a small curve on the side of the legs. Two pieces are missing on one of the wooden leg caps.
