.
hi friism,
you are not the only one who likes them: I saw the design (middle model) for the first time on display in the background of a BB Italia advertisement. The unusual lines stuck in my mind, but i never caught the designers name until a year later. I will put up a link to the picture if I manage to retrace it.

hmm, would have made more...
hmm, would have made more sense to put the pictures the other way around. Now AJs candleholder is pictured first, but mentioned second.
& perhaps Habitats new model (by The Swedes) for more affordable alternative ? But i am not sure whether it will turn out to be a classic & i will not tire of it too quickly.

my favorite candle holders
My favorites are made of cast iron and designed by: Jens Quistgaard (41), Robert Welch (12), David Mellor (4) and Christer- and Christel Holmgren (5). The numbers of designs by Jens Quistgaard is enormous.

I like the Quistgaard onion...
I like the Quistgaard onion shaped silverplate ones but even more the Dansk spiral ones (can't remeber offhand who did them though, glass designer chap I think). Walter von Nessen 'Taurex' ones do it for me too

The Welch ones are an old favourite of mine too - got some in a box somewhere. Handy as a substitute for axle stands too...

I'm partial to the brass...
I'm partial to the brass pieces designed by Tommi Parzinger but also love Timo Sarpaneva's Festivo line
