I'm packing up for Palm Springs in a week and while I've done plenty of research on my own, I've always found it more helpful to connect with locals or prior travelers.

SO - any great ideas on tours, museums, hikes, restaurants, shops, etc? Obviously I want to take in all the mid century splendor there. I'll have a car so things outside of Palm Springs are fine too. Also - I'm a pretty high level tennis player if any DA'ers are locals that play 🙂

My favorite...
lunch spot is King's Highway at the Ace Hotel. I think that it was a Denny's back in the day. Cool spot and neat decor. The food is pretty good too. Don't think its a 'must see' kinda spot but I always swing by when I'm in PS.

Trio restaurant
Had a lovely dinner here. very hip vibe-decor. Also loved to walk the entire grounds of The Parker hotel. Totally refurbished hotel with great interior design.

Thanks for the recommendations..
Thanks for the recommendations, I've heard good things from several friends about Trio - also the brunch at Cheeky's.
What about architecture, museums, charity shops, etc etc? Obviously there is great architecture all around, but anything I shouldn't miss? I have a whole week out there so I know I will want things to do to break up all that pool time 🙂
