I just treated myself to a nest of tables made by Mobelfabrikken Toften. They look beautifully put together. I can't wait to see them.
Does anyone know anything about Toften? The only thing I could really find was a link to some similar ones on Wright20, which were listed at an astronomical price.

I saw those
They were slightly different I think (see link).
Luckily I paid less than that ;). Actually I have to arrnge a courier from Manchester, so it'll probably end up more expensive.

I was perusing the web for something today and stumbled across a Danish desk listing on Pamono that caught my eye for two reasons: 1) I thought that it was a stunning design, and 2) I have two nesting tables that have a very similar triangular leg design. I had bought the tables around three years ago, and was not able to ID them at the time after a brief search.
The Pamono desk listing has an attribution to Sibast, but offers no evidence to support that claim. I can find no other examples of the desk online. However during that search, my nesting tables popped up a few times with attributions to both E.W. Bach as the designer, and Mobelfabrikken Toften as the manufacturer. Via the furnitureindex site, I see that these two did have a collaboration for another desk and coffee table. Those desk legs are triangular but in a different style. One of the online nesting table attributions was on the Japanese site, Swanky Systems, which I have previously found to be quite good on accuracy (although a bit questionable on choice of an English name for their business).
Thoughts, anyone? Ironically, I have one other set of nesting tables at home, and those are also made by Toften (marked), although in a very basic square design with straight turned legs, that does not resemble my other set in any way.
Note: All photos here grabbed from online, and not of my personal items. My unmarked set has only two, not three.
Strolling through the webs again today and stumbled across this sold listing from Simon that shows another similar triangular sled leg desk design, albeit different from the one above. It had a Svend A Madsen for HP Hansen attribution. Those legs and desktop edges look almost identical, with maybe the leg edges on the desk above being a little rounder.

Simon, any chance that the similar nesting tables above are mentioned in any Madsen or Hansen documentation that you might have? Thanks.
