Hello all:)

I came across this chair in a garage sale and bought it really cheap. Obviously knowing the condition of the leather needs attending... but I bought it so so cheap that I'm think that:

A it is a real thing and there's room to spend a fair bit
B it is not the real thing and no money should be spent (I would then just rejuvenate and recolour the worn leather and be happy with the looks.

Sadly, the ottoman was no where to be found:(

Either way, I don't think I could go wrong with my $46 investment thus far..

Before anyone offers to buy it off me.. I'm in Brisbane, Australia so I think most people here would find shipment prohibitive 🙂

Feet look wrong. Arms are too thick.

Ok, so not real:(
so, any ideas who this copycat is? I didn't really think that one would find a real one in a garage sale for $46 but there was a glimmer of hope LOL
I still dig the chair and this was the primary reason for the buy .. I am grateful that I know so I know not to plough too much money into it and just "rejuvenate and enjoy" rather than thinking of a full restoration..
Thanks
Hawkan

The copycat is
China. Sold under numerous names but pretty much the same chair.
