Please help me identify this sofa  

I bought this sofa at a secondhand store about 20 years ago in Sydney Australia and would really appreciate some help identifying what it is. I've found images of similar, but nothing else quite like it. I'm not sure if I should restore it, so some guidance would be excellent.
Though it is looking a bit rough now, the original leather work is exceptional. I think the base is teak, but not sure. The padding is foam latex I believe.
Any help or suggestions as to who made it and when would be greatly appreciated.
