The frames are quality cast with a good weight. Each frame is composed of a cartouche base with geometric lines. From the base there are two arms, starting in right angles but later curving with foliate decoration. The arms are finished with a round trumpet bobeche & beaded trim. At the end of each are the lamp holders with new cream colour card covers. The top & bottom portions of the base are finished with a stepped pattern. At the top of the base there is a large decorative ring. The bottom of the base finishes to a point. At the back of the base, each light has a horizontal bracket to attach to the wall The sconces are finished with new clip-on cream pleated silk lampshades. These four shades are included in the price. These wall lights could also be displayed without the shades for a more traditional look (as photographed). Each wall light carries 2 standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 40 Watts. At present these lights are fitted & photographed with Candle clear shaped light bulbs of 25 Watts. These are included in the price. It would be possible to use other (E14) light bulbs. Both sconces are in very good vintage condition. The frames are sound. The verdigris finish is in good condition, with a warm patina & minor rubbing in line with age. The lampshades are new. Additional dimensions: The total dimensions with shades on is: Height: 52 cm, Width: 41 cm, Depth: 15 cm The dimensions of the frames without the shades is: Height: 52 cm, Width: 37 cm, Depth: 12 cm The lampshade alone has the following dimensions: Height: 11.5 cm, Diameter at the bottom: 13 cm, Diameter at the top: 8 cm Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care with packing. For safe transport the shades will be wrapped separately in bubble wrap, foam and an outer layer of card. These will be stacked together. The frames will be wrapped similarly. Together these pieces would easily fit into a box with loose fill packing suitable for posting with a courier.
