Would really appreciate any advice anybody could give me in identifying the designer/maker of this table, there are no markings or labels, only evidence of a paper label at somepoint. Many thanks.

Looks similar in form to some tables designed by Ico Parisi...yet a bit less refined. Nice table, though

It certainly has Italian...
It certainly has Italian influences, the connection between the legs remind me more of Gio Ponti, as he also used this more classically inspired forms.
Did you soapwash the wood?

It is a knockoff!
Of the Cross Extension Table, carried by DWR.

Yes, I'm kidding.

G-Plan?
Are you in the UK? I'm pretty sure I have seen that table with ebonised legs and varnished top and a g-plan label.

The tola top with ebonised legs range from the 50s

Hi
and welcome
It looks like it could be a stripped down G Plan 50s table then, the finish looks good!

I have always dismissed G...
I have always dismissed G Plan for not quite hitting the button with their designs, but I love this table.

Thank You!
Thank you all for your messages. Robert1960 and Artie, you were both right, it is early G Plan, I found an image of one with ebonised base and varnished top, looks so much better stripped down. Thank you again......I love this site!
