We purchased an absolutely gorgeous bench like this but it is all teak and measures 55 3/4" L x 19 7/8" w x 15 1/2" h
It has the most precise doweling all over and is in almost perfect condition. We bought it here in Tucson about 2 years ago for $145.00 and I just now started to research it. The only problem is that all of the original George Nelson benches seem to have 12 slats on the top where ours has 15.
There are no markings anywhere and the sides each have 6 round dowels in groups of three above the legs.
The under neath has a total of eight screws (two above each leg which attach to the top.) Some were covered by a dark plastic disc There are also levelers on the leg bases.
Do we have the real deal or could this possibly be Danish?
