A few years ago, I found two occasional tables at a local thrift shop. I liked the shape, the design, and the scale was just right for my house. So, I bought them. And for 5.00 each.

Recently, someone (actually a few people) have said that they are probably by Max Sauze. I have seen tables of a similar design by him, but they tend to be in polished metal, not flat black like these. What information I do have about them is that they were imported by Raymor back in the 1960's.

Any ideas? Has anyone seen tables like these, maybe have some more information on them? Thanks!

Not sure why my images aren't showing up on the message here. I did post the links in the "associated web images" boxes.

Your
links (which you need to put in the 'associated web images' box) show a Plycraft chair

The table is to the right of...
The table is to the right of the chair. I apologise for the confusion: I didn't have a close up of the table. The other shot is a close up of the smaller table.

I think your photo links...
I think your photo links aren't working because you're linking to a Flickr page instead of an actual JPG image. If you right click on the image, click on "Copy image location" and use that URL instead. You may have to click through several pages to get to an image that has this option, but it is there somewhere.

I had one of these...
I purchased it in the early 90's, but can't remember where. It was definitely a new piece when I bought it, and not expensive. It was either called the "Orbit" table, or was manufactured by a company of that name. Mine was also flat black with a glass top. $5 is still a great deal - these are not bad looking.

Thank you! It sort of...
Thank you! It sort of throws off the Raymor attribution (I think they were defunct by the early 80's), but we love the tables no matter what. Just was curious as some people had made mention of Max Sauze.
