Today's finds are the Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe Baby Bud Vases for Dansk International Designs Ltd Taiwan (party favors) and a Michael Lax enamel cast iron casserole for Copco Denmark (appears new and unused). Two dollars and change is good.

I found this Tiger Vacuum Bottle Industry Co Ltd Japan Cubic™ stainless steel thermos carafe PSE-0750 today for under one dollar. This name was in use from 1953-1982. It appears to be new and unused. This is good.

Hi.
My custom ordered lamp shades arrived today. Yes, I chose them. Me. I know that pleated lamp shades don't really belong on this forum. Proudly Pleated. Silk. Formal, Yup. And a space saving shape, too. Color is antelope. Hello. And I bought a pair of shoes today.

Rules, schmules! The only rule is to get the right shade for the lamp---width, height, shape, color, texture, style. If it works, it's right. I think your pleats are smashing!

A dealer sold me this Stefano Giovannoni Merdolino toilet brush for Alessi for a few dollars. It goes perfectly with lamp shades.

Picked up a beautiful disaster, Tall Viking Salad bowl Rare Woods Model 1636 in Muteneye. Of course it is split, and a whole section has detached. Previous repair attempts clearly were inadequate.
Now I need to brainstorm how the heck I am going to clamp this when re-gluing. Round, tapered, complex curves are always a challenge to figure out a gluing strategy..... recommendations welcome.

the only way I way ever to repair something like that was to put it in something else round (small enough so that the bowl you are repairing still sticks up proud) and then put REALLY HEAVY THINGS ON TOP. And glue, of course.

Found this wonderful little Kaj Franck Kilta teapot, by Arabia of Finland. It is in near perfect condition. The marking indicates it is from somewhere between 1948 and 1962. There is also a faint impression in the pot of "K-F-unintelligible character". I was always under the impression that the numerical marking was Month-year, but this one is marked "12-0". Based on the date range of of the marking, I suppose it could be December 1950 or 1960? Anyone out there know what the 12-0 may indicate?
Also scored these great Hedgehog ashtrays, presumably by Walter Bosse. hard to be sure if they are legit, but at the price we picked them up for, I am not sure it matters. They are really wonderful little pieces.
