niceguy – Love those Arad vases.
Panton – Killer chair. Coming to appreciate the upholstered version of that chair more and more.
Oh, and I now own a hot pink sofa... and I am not ashamed of it. (Piano Sofa by Gubi Olsen for Gubi International.)

teakhound,
Bold, very bold. Your Piano Sofa by Gubi Olsen for Gubi International. in Tonus 3 127 is a wonderful visual and great color start for any room. Congratulations.
Post more images of the table(s) possible case goods and accessories accentuating the sofa as you add to the room (possible work in progress).
I was sold on Cor Unum when I acquired the apple dish by Olav Slingerland. Form and function on both vase and dish is 100% (in my opinion). I also enjoy Tendentse ceramics.

I recently bought Versace 6-glass Prestige Gala set. I love the Greca key on the margins and they match other greek inspired pieces that I have.

I'm moving soon and need to downsize so I was dropping off a load of stuff at the local auction and thrift store. My wife couldn't believe it when I came home with another chair.

If only I could function and still look this good when I am nearly 80 years old...
Electrolux Model 30 designed by Lurelle Guild in 1937 (this version from 1939) . $7 at Goodwill, fully functional and comes with all the original attachments, bag and woven hose.
The horizontal speed lines reminded me of another design classic from the same year, the 1937 Cord by Gordon Buehrig.
I love my Dyson and even though it is an excellent cleaning machine, it is not aging very well and it is less than 10 years old.
House cleaning with an icon of American Streamline/Machine Age design.

Picked this little guy yesterday at my local charity shop. I thought it was nothing more than a cool vintage souvenir from Brazil (it has a old made in Brazil sticker). After some research online, it appears that it was designed by a brazilian artist named Abraham Palatnik. Does anyone knows anything more about it?

Nice! Palatnik designed a lot of animal figures but I think most were of clear acrylic with some color and a lot of narrow black stripes. They have very fluid, graceful lines. He did other types of art too (one photo included).

Many thanks Spanky for your help. Do you maybe know when these animal figures were made?

As shown in another post ("Dry" Spots on Rosewood Skovby...") this is a rosewood dining set made up of a Skovby expandable table and Eric Buck Model 49 chairs. Picked it up off a co-worker who was downsizing for $50! The table is undergoing a little restoration now, hence the aforementioned post, but we love having it!
