Very nice mid-century brass candlestick holders shaped as two leaves by Swedish designer Lars Holmström, Arvika – Sweden 1960s. The holders are for wall hanging and they give a nice shine when a candle is lit. Stamp on the back with Lars Holmström, Arvika. These wall candlesticks were hand-sculpted in Arvika Sweden. Measures: 29cmH x 10cmW (at the widest) x 9 cmD. Lars August Holmström was born 1894 in Gävleborg County and died in Båstad. Swedish mid-century artsmith. Lars Holmström participated in the Paris Exhibition and hit here with candlesticks and other light fixtures and also with silver work. He is mentioned in French art magazines, where his work is referred to as masterpiece of art.
