Teak and white laminate round end table by Hans C Andersen for Artek. Unfortunately missing a large chunk of teak from the rim. Would not be an easy repair (for me) with a curve in plan and a profiled lip. Will probably use as a night table for the guest bedroom while I figure out what to do with it.
While the project pieces are starting to back up, I couldn't turn this one down due to 1) price, 2)
Two more free Braun items by Reinhold Weiss forgotten from someone's garage.

waffle - it started out just as a small collection of useful and beautiful objects for the house at the time when it was just cheaper to buy used/secondhand than buying new stuff from discount retailers like Target or Walmart. The collection has grown and more than half had been gifted to other design institutions.
The book 'Braun: Fifty Years of Design Innovation' available in German and English is a must have for anyone interested in Braun designs.
mvalen, that set is indeed an awesome find and I can imagine them looking great in a simple and minimal setting.
minimoma,
I appreciate your Braun collection. I purchase vintage Braun products when the opportunity arises.
The photo of the Jurgen Greubel Multipress MP 50 detail (and other products) in the Blade Runner is too cool.
I find the Ludwig Littmann Multipractic hand held mixer with chopper attachment to be useful in the kitchen to this day and the Dietrich Lubs ET55 calculator remains handy.
The Reinhold Weiss KMM 1 Aromatic coffee mill for Braun only gets use when the Saeco is not in use (it has an automatic grinder).
My sister has the Alfred Gerd Müller and Robert Oberheim, Kitchen Machine KM32 from new. Amazing...
They are not "sate of the art" but all in all they are all quality products for the long run.
robrinay, nice chair. Congratulations. I am a Fritz Hansen fan and user (mainly the PK series).
bought the book. should be 504 pages of fun.
I have a desk that I am working on that I will add shortly. It was being used as a craft table so lots of work was needed. It has a thick walnut top, inset chrome legs 3 drawers and is only about 6" thick. It's also 6 1/2' long, so a big boy. She's going to be a looker.
You know you're getting old when an appliance you bought new in college in the early 90's starts popping up as vintage design. It's still going strong though, 25 years later.
Maybe one of you guys with extensive Braun collections can start up a dedicated thread for the classic designs.
Thanks guys, good to know that there are others out there that appreciates functional good design.
Good braunspotting niceguy and robrinay, the aged leather on your FH chairs are fantastic and your mac is a testament that still make Braun's innovative designs from over a half a century ago fresh and relevant today.
My niece always borrows this Braun item from the collection dressed up just like Lady Braun on Haloween. It is possibly Braun's skeleton in the closet.
cdsilva, I got one of those Braun immersion blenders/food processor things about when you did, though I think mine finally died. Or maybe I just gave it away. I have a new one now but it looks pretty much the same! I also have the little electric coffee grinder which I used for cloves and cardamom, never coffee since I don't like it. It's great. Just got one for my niece to grind cardamom in, too.
