perhaps my best CL pickup...
perhaps my best CL pickup ever. They were actually the regular dining chairs for a family with a few kids back in the day, and have been sitting in the attic for the last 22 years (the sellers are moving and downsizing). While I need to re-glue a couple of loose backrest slats, they are in remarkable shape otherwise.
The 78s and 62s always struck me as looking fragile, but this set's history proves otherwise.
jesgord, I have followed quite a few re-cording threads on DA, and even have a coil from Franks sitting in the basement awaiting my first effort on a pair of Helge Sibast chairs. The Moller seats have reupholstered fabric over original fabric (which peeks out a little at the leg wraps on some chairs). Since the fabric is in good shape, and only needs some stain removal, I'll probably keep as is.
Teak coffee table
Picked up this teak coffee table last weekend. I'm not sure who designed or produced it, but the owner purchased it along with some Grete Jalk Glostrup lounge chairs. It's veneer and about 5ft long. The stretchers are a bit common-looking but I like the legs. We'll probably hold onto this one for a bit.
Vintage Eames DKR
Just acquired this beauty along with a La Fonda chair that I'm still cleaning up. It's on it's original base and has its original vinyl pad. Two breaks in the wire but overall not too bad at all.
Unsure of it's age or how to date it as there is no 'Date of Delivery' stamped on the tag. The wire frame does say 'Pat. Pend.'
