Like the other posts, I cannot figure out how to remove the seat from the post on which this chair sits/swivels. I need to return the SEAT part to the store, and customer service (on the phone) has no idea how to disassemble this product. Merely pulling on it is not working. Does anybody know? Thanks.

Go to ikeafans.com and ask. A lot of IKEA's assembly instructions are uploaded there as pdf files. If this chair needed any assembly before using, then it will have instructions and ikeafans.com might have them, too.
If not, you can get them from IKEA but the tricky part is finding an employee who knows where to look. IKEA's customer service is as spotty as they come.
