I bought this a while back.. it was a low "buy it now" auction on ebay, so I thought, buy now, think later.. hmm. The frame is a complete "do it yourself" disaster, and is welded together very badly.. I'm just not sure about the cover.. I've been googling it to death to find out if it's an original leather cover, but I've not had much luck. Can you help?

Looks as though it's the result
of one of those 1970's Tandy leather kits, that included pre-cut leather and gimp-- make your own belt! make your own wallet! make your own butterfly chair!
It's not bad-looking, but looks like it could easily be circa 1970, when everyone was into leathercraft. Perhaps the cover was a one-off, and wasn't commercially produced.
I don't think it's original
It just looks too amateurishly made, unless those ripples are just bad lighting.
Circa50.com has nice replacement covers in canvas and leather (either smooth or hairy). I've bought their canvas ones and also the plastic mesh outdoor ones and can vouch for their quality.
