Hans Wegner - CH26  

For those of you who link directly to the Forum (like me) without going through the Home page, I thought I'd post the link to a recent Hans Wegner blog post; the re-issuance of CH22 lounge chair and the issuance of its matching dining chair, CH26, which had never been in production.

I recall that there have been recent issues of a couple of later Wegner chair designs that were never previously in production, but the CH26 was apparently designed way back in 1950/51 with the CH22.
As I've grown accustomed to the proportion of the lounge chair design, the dining chair currently looks a bit weird to my eye. I assume that will fade away the more I see it.
I've always liked the CH22, as it is a nice transitional design between the Peacock chair and the CH23/CH30 dining chairs. The seat weaving, front leg wedged tenon joints, and armrest extensions down to the stretchers lean towards the Peacock, with the back leg framing and backrest design leaning towards the 23/30 designs.
I cannot yet find any mention of these two new production chairs in the Carl Hansen website.
