Designed by Kjell Engman who was born in Stockholm in 1946 and has been a Kosta Boda designer since 1978. He aims to paint a picture as well as tell a story through the medium of glass. The vases in this series have a very natural rock like appearance in which a fossil is imprinted. The mysterious image at first mystifies and then invites curiosity. This intriguing group of vases has an enigmatic quality that will continue to delight and intrigue.
