An Art Deco cabinet produced in the 1930s. The elegant proportions of the whole piece with its balanced composition of three different size drawers, together with the dazzling pattern of the burr veneer makes this piece a truly wonderful example of the sophisticated furniture design of that era. The cabinet has been sourced from an Art Deco Villa and it was produced as a part of the project of a bespoke furniture for the interior of the Villa. The designer or producer of the cabinet is unknown. However the quality of the materials, the perfect attention to every detail and the overall craftsmanship of the whole piece indicates that it is likely to be one of the leading manufacturers of the time. The cabinet is in great vintage condition with original keyholes and hinges, and overall with minimal wear and tear. Recent restoration has fully revived the extremely rich colour of the entire piece, showing off the beautiful burr veneer patterns on all surfaces. The whole piece has been hand finished by Shellac and Nitro varnishes in order to achieve a great gloss finish.
