Does anyone know if Gimson & Slater's furniture is documented anywhere? Or if there is an archive of their designs? What happened to the company?
I've recently bought a sofa (see ebay page attached) which I guess dates from the 1960s but was recovered in the 1980s. I'd like to find out what fabric was originally used and if the cushions have been cahnged. I'm also curious about it because while their rock n' rest chair regularly crops up on design pages and auctions I cna find no mention of this sofa.
Any information would be useful. Thanks

Hi Fiona,
Was wondering if you've had any feedback re Gimson & Slater.
I've recently inherited an early 1960's sideboard, table and 8 chairs by Gimson & Slater. There's a badge inside the sideboard that says the design is 'Vesper'.

gimson and slater chair
I have gimson and slater leather rocking chair,any feedback welcome. is it collectable.
its an actual rocking chair not the one with legs.
