Hello everybody,
As promised, here is a recap of the first changes brought to the forum.
1. You can now edit your posts.
Even if the word "edit" is visible below each post, it is obviously only possible to edit your own messages.
2. You will have noticed that your email is required along with your password. There are several reasons for this change. First of all, for more safety but also to be able to prepare the next improvements on the forum. It is a small inconvenience but it can easily be circumvented with the function "autofill" of your navigator or with keychain if you use a mac.
If you are not using these functions yet, this is how to configure your browsers:
On Safari go to preferences > allow AutoFill Web form
On Firefox go to preference > security Remember passwords for sites
We don't use Microsoft products, but we guess that there is an equivalent function on Internet Explorer.
3. In the form to post your messages, you will find three new fields called "associated web images" that you can use to post images.
No need for fancy codes anymore, no more tags like: img src or [img etc.
Just post the simple url of your image in these fields.

As a reminder, if you dont have your own website, there are many sites that can host your images very easily.

4. The text field has been increased to improve your writing comfort.

much appreciated. (I freaked out when I punched somebody else's edit and got their post page and message, all ready to modify -- I should have realized I wouldn't actually be able to post a revised version of their message !)
