What about "hot flowers on a platter"?
This is my wedding china....I swear... (chosen when I was the Princess of Excess, and SDR was in school). We have enough to feed 8 plump mouths, but I'm way too embarrassed to use any of it. So there.
Best,
Aunt Tacky
ps floral china looks best when serving rare red meat.
pss never choose a china pattern that could potentially clash with your sartorial choices.
psss Versace 2008

NO!
oh well okay….
Ray buys flowers by the pound when we go extra late to the farmers market.
Shoo-flies are high on her list, but not pictured here. Weird goth flowers if you ask me.
I also blame Ray for the Jonathan Alder vase. It's growing on me though.
The beige boy next to the Dalias is Henry. (1961 Malm "Fireduke" fireplace)
NO CANDY. First time all year.
Mark, I like the little separations in the plate for various food groups. Or is that for tasty dipping sauces? Or I suppose one could have several red meat choices in those areas as well?

I was previously unaware handsome cats could also be included with this vases/candy thread...

We don't want the esteemed THREADMASTER to get all testy... Or DO we?
Cats can't be as offensive as five haikus. Even though they WERE on topic. (The haikus I mean)

Hi Eameshead.
The largest separation area on the platters are intended to compartmentalize the slab of rare red meat, while the 3 smaller separations are for bones (and fatty gristle), false teeth (or tooth) storage, and band aids. Come over for dinner anytime. Bring Henry.
Your flower pal,
Aunt Mark

Mark clearly understands that rare red meat looks and tastes better when compartmentalized. Much better than meat that is roaming all over your table. Unless it's a cat.
Presentation is so important. Teeth, band-aids and gristle have become the very FABRIC of todays modern dining table landscape. Especially when augmented by flowers. And cats.
Cloudy plant-water that wreaks of feted and decomposing vegetable matter should always be well lit. (preferablly from behind)
90% of everything is timing and lighting.

I quite like that snappy, object. Perfect placement of small animals, patina on the tulip, silk ivy, and Girard, and a swell shell. Hell.
it works well.
Aunt Mark, your friend.
ps just slappin you about the silk...but it actually looks fine...and I have never said that about a silk plant before. Never. Hi.

Are you familiar with John Waters' oeuvre? Sometimes trash is the best thing

I like all thing that John Water's touched. My favorite is Lust in the Dust, although Polyester did have a scratch and sniff included (I still have mine...somewhere). Serial Mom is quite funny.
Quite,
