Hi. I'm need of replacing the rubber shock mounts on four dcm chairs I just bought. I read online there are different generations of dcm, which means the shock mounts are a little bit different. I want to buy the correct ones so I was hoping someone could tell me how to identify the generation.
Thank you. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi
Posting photos of the chair will help. However, there are only minor differences in the shock mounts and it will probably be somewhat challenging to find vintage shock mounts that are exact replacements.

Hi
Post a photo of the underside, showing the label if present.
The back shock mounts appear to be in the good shape. I would just reuse them.

Hi
I don't know the exact range when that Herman Miller label was used (in conjunction with the patent sticker), but I'm guessing your chair is from the 1970s - 1980s. Perhaps someone else here has more definitive information.
The chairs look to be in very good condition, aside from the detached shock mounts.

Related Lounge Question
Dope chairs. I agree with woody like a son agrees with his father haha. I have a Rosewood Lounge with the same label and old style cushions (meaning they have the two round holes in the back of the cushions to mount on/attach to hooks on the inside of the shell rather than the clips for mounting). However, I'm pretty sure that the mounting hardware on the cushions changed to the more recent and still current clip style in 1971. Please correct if I'm wrong. The lounge has a black Herman miller sticker on the underside, as mentioned before. Rosewood is obviously pre 1993. I would have guessed that the chair was late 70s bases on condition but the clips suggest otherwise. Pics to come.
